Guard Rail – Gundog Field Trial (January 14, 2006)

The SCBHA held a Gun Dog field trial at Guard Rail (Wedgefield, SC) Saturday January 14, 2006. A total of 12 braces (24 dogs) were run in an all day event. Gun Dog Coordinator Ernie Ashby was very pleased with the turnout. There were new faces and new dogs. A wide variety of breed’s competed including Pointers, Setters, Brittany’s, German Shorthair Pointer’s, and a German Wire Haired Pointer. Much thanks to our judges Mark Barnett and Al Smith. They did an excellent job of stressing gun safety and judging. Congratulations to the following placement winners:

Congratulations to the following people who placed:
1st Place - Ernie Ashby (Nellie, American Brittany)
2nd Place – Cliff Brown (Bridget, English Setter)
3rd Place – Phil Howe (Clover, Irish Red Setter)
4th Place – Singleton Bailey (Pooh, Llewellin Setter)

We could not include all pictures taken in the field trial, but we will try to at least get one picture of each dog. Alas, we arrived too late to get the first few braces. The resolution of the pictures was also decreased for quicker download on the web. If you would like copies of all of the pictures, please contact Katie Howe at pkhowe@att.net or 803-781-5735.

I haven't finished editing the pictures. Please check again in a few days for more pictures
